Travelling
Riverside are based on the guitar and harmonica partnership of Rob
Sayles and Jon Burr. They write original songs about loss, grumpy kids
and bouldering heroines. The music goes from blues and soul through
folk and country to something driving and rocky. With their first EP,
“Lost” recorded last year, the band have been out playing in the pubs
and clubs, building a reputation for their heartfelt sound.
“The music and vocals from this “Bluesy” duo are very sharp and professional” Paul Abraham
With
an energetic live set, and songs to bop n sway to, Faze are an
independent 4 piece rock band, hailing from Bradford West Yorkshire
featuring in no particular order:
Matthew Milnes – Rhythm Guitar / vocals
Ben Lyles – Drums
Luke Milnes – Lead Guitar/Backing vocals
Adam Brankin -The Bass Guitar
The
band has played up and down the UK, and most recently have been doing
the live front in London in support of such acts has Mark Chadwick
(Levellers), Alabama Three, and Rick Witter (shed seven).
Critically
acclaimed blues band Crosscut Saw consist of front man Alex Eden on
vocals, electric guitar and harmonica, Richard Ferdinando on Drums and
Richard Green (Somatics, Ultrasound) on bass. In addition to
their own authentically crafted material, Crosscut Saw pay tribute to
such greats as Muddy Waters, RL Burnside and Buddy Guy. Recently
Crosscut Saw supported Dr Feelgood and have toured with American
artists Eddie Blue & The Ravens and Jake Walker.
Based
in Leeds, the band have a combined 65 years worth of playing experience
with some of the worlds leading musicians; Muddy Waters son Big Bill
Morganfield, Otis Grand, Sugar Ray, Ian Siegal, Cecil Zinyuku, James
O’Hara, Little Toby Walker, The New Mastersounds, The Haggis Horns [Amy
Winehouse, Mark Ronson] and Corrine Bailey-Rae to name but a few.
“Laidback stomping mischief” Leeds Music Scene
Shetters,
Shorty and The Half Poles are Damian Foy, Andrew Foy, Samantha Foy and
Anthony Brannan. Fusing together a mixture of rock/blues and folk into
original tracks based around their experiences. All Bradford born and
bred their influences range from Pink Floyd to Iron Maiden to the Stone
Roses.
The
Rudement are a Bradford band comprising of Shaun Bartle (drums), Joe
Buchaldzin (bass), Chris Polechonski (rhythm guitar), Fraser McDonald
(lead guitar) and Anthony McNulty (vocals). Their indie sound with a
rock ‘n’roll edge draws influence from a wide variety of bands and
artists. An energetic live performance gives any audience something to
look forward to.
The
Yalla Yallas are a punk rock ‘n’ roll band from Leeds, their name was
carefully and deliberately chosen as a rallying call to unify. Although
their sound may hark back to a time when rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock
invoked some sort of reaction, their progressive forward-looking vision
makes any previous live music credentials or influences irrelevant. You
don’t need to know that Will once played in a flooded underground
nuclear fall out shelter in the Czech Republic, you don’t need to know
that Rob hosted his own radio show playing everything from traditional
folk to poodle metal. All you need to know is The Yalla Yallas are
here, right now.
Wilful
Missing are a great experience live or on record, with beautifully
arranged songs featuring Mandolin, Cello, Acoustic Guitar, Keyboards,
Accordion, Bagpipes, Cajon, Drums, Bass, Smacked Electric Guitar, Penny
Whistle and Albert’s Whistling!
Wilful Missing are…
Sam Kipling (vocals, guitar, mandolin, keys)
Sam Lawrence (guitar, vocals, mandolin, keys)
Albert Freeman (bass, vocals, guitar, whistling)
Ruth Viqueira (drums, cajon)
Sarah Smout (cello, percussion)
They
have played well-received gigs in London, while closer to home making
festival appearances at Rough Beats and Bradford’s Big Gig. Wilful
Missing have played with signed, touring acts including Jeffrey Lewis,
Dufus and Neil McSweeney.
