Smoke Fairies tour Diary.
We are currently on tour with Richard Hawley. This tour we have brought our drummer Gregory, Viola/Bass player Neil and so far manager Matt with us.
Last night was only our 4th gig but it already feels like we have been on the road for a long time, lugging boxes of merch and guitars around, driving and sleeping 5 people in a one bed hotel room.
After a good gig in Holmfirth, and a slightly disappointing inability to find the infamous Nora Batty Stairs (featured in Last of the Summer Wine) we headed of to Manchester where we all sampled the city's finest kebabs.
Yesterday we arrived in York and were all feeling slightly disturbed about seeing a dog eating a pigeon in the car park. The day improved after a trip to the Jorvik Viking museum where we learned of the perils of Viking York whilst riding around in a electronic cart. Unfortunately the first accident of the day occurred when Kaf slammed her head into one of the cart speakers. In the second accident two band members got injured when Kaf head butted Neil's bottom when she was getting up and he was sitting down. The third involved Kaf's finger and a bread knife in a horrible sandwich making incident after the show.
We have enjoyed manning the merch stall after each show. Our wares now include special edition t-shirts and bags. So far we have only sold two t-shirts and we saw someone with a Smoke Fairies bags but neither of us can remember selling it!

Our new single ‘Sunshine’ is released on 26th October, again as a limited edition 7” and CD pack and also on download from 19th October. We’ve just added the track to the myspace page. Hope you enjoy!
