Sunny, but windy. Kate slept for a long time, so I rode the bike in search of a printer cable. I had hope that Kim had the one I needed... NOPE. Rode further to RADIO SHACK and found the one. Thought about MANDARIN and Randy, but kept riding home. Stopped and nabbed an avocado at GALA, then proceeded home to make a glorious tofu/avo sandwich. Then I hit the phones.....sold a fair amount of MIND FIELD's. Worked and worked and worked so thoroughly until my back was hurting. Once Kate returned home from a day of errands and once UPS had collected the days orders, I pitched Kate the idea of a soak. Her eyes lit up, and soak we did. While soaking, we made a plan.
Drive to UPAS and 30th. Walk to the NP farmer's market. Once there, I was able to hand off my mushroom tins, bought some colored potatos, and got a deal on 5 massive avos. BofA for Kate. Saw a newly renovated restaurant front and stopped in the skate shop. Kate's mom is visiting in MARCH and Kate really wants to take her to the desert shop so we went in to investigate. Tiramazu? She was psyched, but we moved on towards our dinner. One more pit stop at the new LONGBOARD store..... and the remaining walk to VEGnOUT. Kate and I both got new sandwiches and I had been dreaming of a COCONUT juice. Gerardo was there and we rapped about events of tomorrow. Our sandwiches arrived and we chowed down. DELICIOUSNESS@!@!
Brian arrived around 8:15 and Steve and he and I chatted and chatted. I suggested doing some kareoke and Brian was game, Steve was not. The scene at GILLY's wasn't as i feared. WE both got in songs right away. Night Ranger was under my belt before VIOLA even arrived.

I did SHAKE IT by Eddie Money and in the middle of this wailer, in walks Troy and his wife. He was stunned to see me. Brian reigned on the billards table. Viola and I did the Bonnie Tyler duet.... is it from FOOTLOOSE, I think so...
3 songs for all of us. Maria never showed... back home and in bed by 11:20pm.
The next morning I was up early, DUH. Brian slept till a little after 8. He came prepared w/ his sleeping bag so he didn't freeze in the icebox. We walked up the BIG KITCHEN and Judy the Beauty took our orders. Steve showed up mid breakfast for a pancake and we all walked back together....

Brian used to live in Hillcrest in the 90s and had good memories of skating the fountain area in Balboa Park, so that spot was 1st on the list....once the skating began. Classy nose manny.
