Man it's been a long time since I posted a photo entry.
So here goes, the HALLOWEEN ISSUE.
It started the night before Halloween.
The eve if I may say so.
My family and I were grouped trying to finish our already last minute costumes.
I had gotten to the house early after I was off work
and Melissa and Lily were still asleep, BUT NOT FOR LONG.
I think my prancing up and down the hallway with Eisley woke them up....

"WEZ AWAKE."

So we gathered in the kitchen, where eventually, Missy made us some
nummy treats to eat while she and I pretended to work
and my mom did all the work.

see.
doing all the work
with her nimble...yet arthritic fingers...
:D
Sew while all this sewing was going on
(har har, get it, sew and sewing...)
Melissa, Lily and I were being trying on a variety of quick one object costumes.

egghead...?

HA HA, I'M A BEE.

Siabees twins!
HAHA.
Get it.
Bees.
Sia.
We're awesome.
And then, at some point my mother left to go pick up my youngest sister
from some school event, and Melissa,
despite WARNINGS NOT TO,
promptly broke the sewing machine
when she tried to, "sew back."
....

I HAVE EVIDENCE YOU WERE TOUCHING IT MISSY.
Anyway,
that sort of ended the night,
we wrapped up some costumes
and I went home.
The next morning I got to work at my usual 8:30a for a Saturday,
where only Shareta, Justin and I were dressed to impress.
Judy, our manager, had a red sweatshirt on and was calling herself
a "drop of blood."
....
Yes.

Shareta's incomplete Detective Minnie Mouse.
Still cute.

Justin, COVERED IN BEES.

And since my Other Mother attempt didn't manifest very well,
I alternated swiftly to LOVEBUG VEE.
Complete with lovebug butt.
So Kat, who was not here this day,
was destined to fill out the uniform of the Half Price Books Bookworm
at the Pearland Fall Festival in the evening.

And while I don't have a photo of that although we went to the festival,
I do have a picture Justin sent me of himself in the costume the night before.

...do we REALLY need a mascot??...
Back to the work day!

Jason later showed up as...Jason.

And Autumn was a southern belle zombie.
I swear, her vacant zombie stare
gave me goose pimples and crazy willies,
I REFUSED to look at her when she did it...

And Candace came as...Candace the trash man I guess....
OH, and then for lunch,
Justin and I went to the McDonalds in the nearby Walmart.
And there, all the folks were dressed, it was fun and amazing

ASIAN GIRL.
And then at 4:30, when Justin and I were scheduled to get off
My sister showed up with Lily dressed in her costume
and everyone oohed and aahed over how cute she was.
Man.
She's way cute.

We left,
stopped at Target before heading the festival
just to show Lily off to my sister's coworkers.

bee family.
(it gets better)
Although there are a lack of pictures (I was too busy getting candy and staring at people)
the Fall Festival thing was cute,
local businesses had booths set up and were giving out candy.
There were little inflatable bounce houses for the kids
and the most AMAZING FUNNEL CAKE EVER.
And the children!
THE CHILDREN WERE IN THE MOST ADORABLE COSTUMES EVER.
I almost cried twice with how cute they were,
once when I saw the girl all lacey in a Little Bo Peep costume holding a stuffed lamb.
And the other time when there was a little black boy in a brown suit in a stroller
but decked out with zombie makeup.
Sooo cute.

I did take a photo of this tall mariachi guy.
He was amazing.

In full bee family gear!

Bee Missy!
Ha ha.
So the night ended well, it got chilly and Lily got tired
so we left and headed to our homes.
It was a pretty good first Halloween for Lily I believe,
although I am now excited for next year.
:D
Now... onto Thanksgiving and Christmas
to finish out this year!
And now, I leave you with this :

Bee baby and Bee mom.
The End.
