Who Gives Kudos:

I am surprised to see new requests from listeners come in at a consistent pace despite the sharp decline in blaerg activity in '08 and I felt it might be time to let some of the newer people interested in the music see what was up.

While live performances are simply not possible for the foreseeable future, I was fortunately able to finish six new tracks during 2009 and I must admit I am extremely pleased with them. These works shall remain unheard until i complete enough material for an entire new album, although I have absolutely no idea how long that may take.

The new tracks generally tend to be shorter and more concise, and have continued further into the logical direction hinted at on Dysphoric Sonorities and solidified on Auspices and Vagaries - namely an amalgamation of imitation fusion basslines, shredded funk drumstick gymnastics, esoteric melody histrionics and airy textures. I currently feel that it is important for me to continue to explore these territories and ignore the current fixations on the whole dubstep explosion, as treading the blaerg path has nothing to do with sales or popularity.

Once again I humbly thank all who listen, purchase, download, burn, broadcast, mix or otherwise disseminate the works of BLÆRG throughout the biosphere. Take care of yourselves and patience will reward us with new sonics in the days and years to come.
