O.K.  So we have 7 kitties living here with my sister Gretchen and I.  There is Bugg, he's real skittish orangey little thing that runs away from me every time I look at him.  Brenda, noone but Mom ever sees her, she hides under the bed all day!  How booooorinng.  Connor, he's a big, fat (18 lb.) orange & white lazy boy who is supposed to be on a diet but still eats everything he can. Copper, he just thinks he hot stuff with his summer haircut and big fluffy tail. Stitch, he's a siamese that does nothing but cause trouble around here and then blames it on us dogs. Finally, Tipp, he's a skinny little black & white dude that just wants lots of love and lets me sniff his butt alot!

Well, Mom is always telling us we gotta be nice to the kitties.  We try real hard to be nice, we want to give them big sloppy wet doggy kisses, but they don't like them.  Can't figure that out at all.  I don't see anything wrong with doggy kisses, do you?  So we try to play with them, but Mom says we're too rough!  Why don't they learn how to play then?  Darn kitties!

Now Mom is starting to feed the kitties that live outside and don't have houses to sleep in.  I feel real bad for them, no shelter when it's cold or rainy.  No A/C when it's hot out and it gets real hot here in the desert!  She gives them a big bug proof bowl of fresh food every day and a big fresh bowl of cold water too!  Mommy wants to build a shelter for the kitties in the back yard, but Gretchen won't let the kitties in.  Hmmmmm.....how do we change that?  If Gretchen would let the kitties in the back yard, they could have a safe place to go when the weather gets bad.  Someplace to stay warm and dry.  Wouldn't that be grand!

Our friend Lauri in Chile says it would be wonderful.  She told mommy if you start with one outdoor kitty, soon you have 7 or more showing up.  It's like a telephone line, they call each other and spread the news of food, water and shelter.  Already it has gone from 2 to 3 that we have seen, who knows, there could be more showing up late at night when we're asleep.

I love kitties.

:) Aw...daddy feeds the outside kittehs too, he's made a nice den for them all in the shed across the driveway- far away from where I can get to em- he's also in cahoots with a couple vets in town to trap, neuter/spay and release the strays...
