Thank you to everyone who came out the World Cafe Live show last night. You all truly blew us away. When we formed the band we were so happy to play for anyone and simply get on stage. I fondly remember the first performance Leavy and I did together, just playing as a duo acoustically. It was at a little coffee shop in West Chester called the Euro Café. We had maybe three original songs and Leavy had just started singing, never before in public. We supported our good friend Jeff (www.myspace.com/jeffcampbellmusic) and we were nervous to say the least. We played some original songs that haven't stood the test of time, plus a couple covers. Thinking about that night really reminds me how far we have come, as well as how far we have to go.
We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to get on stage and have people listen to us and we do not take it for granted. Playing a sold-out show in our hometown truly humbles us. Last night was the kind of show that makes us remember why we do this. It was such an honor to share the stage with our good friends ike, Downtown Harvest, and Clarity last night. It was such a great bill. You all have supported us so much and pushed us, and we are most grateful.
We are going deep into writing and recording mode for the new record, but will play one area show before we do. We return to The Silo in Reading, PA on Saturday August 16th. The show begins at 7 PM and is only $8. Confirmed support includes Jetsetters (www.myspace.com/jetsettersmusic). Other support tba.
We hope to see many of you at The Silo. The Silo shows are always really big and the venue is so cool. It is a big rock room with a big stage and great sound.
Thanks again for being so good to us and we hope to see you on 8/16.
