Current mood:  optimistic
I spent the whole weekend getting ready for this show.  We were performing with one new member and a fill-in, so our nerves were getting shot.  Lots of monkey wrenches were thrown at us over the past 6 months, but we hung in there because we were so intent on kicking ass at this show.

When August 7th finally came, there was a long torrential downpour that caused me to have to run to Home Depot to get a kiddy gate so I could leave my dog  - who likes to eat and destroy everything  - inside the house so he could stay safe and dry.  Needless to say I arrived at Park Tavern late, and we were all pretty soaked by the time we unloaded our equipment.

Nevertheless, we kept our sunny dispositions, regardless of the fact that there were not that many people there and the weather sucked.  We were thrilled to see that the crowd grew throughout the show, and the response was really tremendous.  It seemed that everyone there had a great time, and we even sold some EP's!

I haven't had that much fun on stage in a long time, and it will always be a great memory.  Hopefully some good stuff will come out of it.  After all, there was a rainbow in my backyard that day...
