my biggest problem was trying to pack.... which boots to take along......not wanting to weigh myself down with cumbersome bags....and such.........I always end up with a new pair of boots wherever I go........which has resulted in having more than one pair of favorite boots........
The person who is picking me up at the airport wanted to know what type of food I would want to eat upon arrival....I said " southern food of course..real food........can't get it here" .....I was asked what I consider southern food to be....." collard greens, turnip greens, grits, sweet tea, pecan pie, black eyed peas, cornbread, catfish and hush puppies, fried chicken, ham hocks and beans, fried okra, gumbo...".......(and of course my list goes on) well they promptly blurted " that isn't southern food...thats soul food ".......well.......As far as I am concerned....soul food is southern food and the South is the soul of this country.......you come from the south or you have roots in the south well you are part of the soul of this country.........I could go on and on about this........who ever you are that reads this....if you have been there, or came from there,or your folks were from there, or you live there now...you know exactly what I mean........The SOUL of this country!
Blues, country, bluegrass, jazz, southern rock, rockabilly, rock and roll americana...........the soul of this country!
So off I go in the mornin'.......
