WHOA... I want to say this means a ton to me!! It means more right now than ever actually. Not on some selfish - competitive way opposed to reading something that simply acknowledged the fact that I have worked my ass off for years and someone simply took the the time to take note of it. It's the same feeling I get when I'm playing for a younger audience and they ask me if I have a record out or a "my space page" to check out. It's flattering as much as it is funny to me.
Honestly, at this very moment I have been doing nothing more than micro managing all of these upcoming releases for this 2009 year and not one aspect of doing this can I consider easy - I'm dropping possibly more than I've ever released at once. This has brought on such a ridiculous amount of administrative work from coordinating the concepts behind where and what makes sense regarding: (errgh) budgets, all the artwork, patience(I try), press related things we must do, organizing tours, one offs, letting friends know that I'm just crazy busy but still love them the same. After reading this article, I was humbled but then I realized it was truly researched to the point that I already forgot about some of the things I have done on a more smaller level.. word up to "better propaganda" - and hi-five to my fucking fans.
On the Top 100 records of the decade, I got #2... Can't believe it. I feel completely humbled.
