The theme right now is "Friends: Old-School Style".
Truly old-school: the latest person listed I've known since I was 16, the youngest since I was
three. Yes, I've even knew
Klayton before he was Klayton from "Celldweller": back in my teenage band days he was
Real Name from "Circle Of Dust". I received a message earlier this evening from someone that I haven't heard from since moving from NY in 2000, which in turn led me to at least two others as well.
So, in the spirit of memories and drinking
far too much (as well as the usage of other substances as well) I salute you via this tiny gift. To the Old-Schoolers, I tip my invisible hat: you know who you are.
In other music-related news I received a "more than one automated line" e-mail response from
Nate Morton, drummer for the House Band on the only reality shows I've ever watched,
Rock Star: INXS and
Rock Star: Supernova, worth watching this season if only because it features my boy
Jason The Consummate Professional on bass. Anyway, Nate is one
mofo on the drums and yet has the time to reply within 2 days to a nobody with a hardly-exciting question about what he feels "makes" a rhythm section... with politeness and fine grammar considering it's the Internets. That, my friends, is
class.
