Each summer our rising 9th grade Upward Bound students participate in the National ThinkQuest Photo Essay competition, taught by Letina Miller. This competition is sponsored by the University of Washington and the Oracle. Eighteen colleges and universities participated in this year’s Photo Essay competition. We are pleased to announce our middle school winners!

Megan Taylor, Honaker High School - SWCC Tri County Upward Bound won, Best of Contest for her entry entitled, “Insignificant.” Megan will receive a digital camera (approx $200 value) plus $100 Farrow Award

Sterling Tillie, Richlands High School - SWCC Upward Bound Math Science won the, Gold Award for her entry “A Shadow” Sterling will receive digital camera (approx $150 value).
