For those of you who don't know, our good friends the Malone's have suffered a terrible tragedy. Jake and Libbys son, Levi, passed away at only 3 years old. We have decided to come home early from the Locked and Loaded tour in order to attend his memorial service.
Here are some things I remember about Levi.
For the record, I don't really like kids. But Levi a was different story. He had such an amazing heart. He loved music. He was always so curious and mischievous, which I thought was pretty hardcore. He would wear these huge sound proof ear muffs at our shows, which were about the size of his head, and rock out right in the front row. And I never saw him without a smile.
One time he drank soda out of a subway cup in my room. That cup had been there for at least two weeks.
Like I said.
Hardcore.
It breaks my heart to think that I will never see Levi again. And it hurts to think of the pain that Jake, Libby and little Ian must be going through. But God shows himself even through the most horrible circumstances. And while His heart breaks for us, I know Levi has an amazing place in Heaven next to his Father.
Nothing will ever replace the hole that was left in our hearts with Levi's passing.
But I will remember him always as the rock star he was. And it was an honor being able to know him.
We will miss you Levi.

John 14:1-4
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
