Hello everyone,
Gerald at
www.psychedelicfolk.com has posted a review of our album...he will also be playing The Hare And The Moon on his radio show Psyche Van Het Folk , details at http://psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com/radioprogramPsychevanhetfolkintr.html

We can't recommend his website highly enough, there are literally hundreds of highly informative and illuminating reviews....a great place to discover hidden treasures, curios and some seriously good underground music....

"Hare And The Moon should be interesting to at least some neofolk and Pagan folk lovers, where they have something special to offer.

With relative simple elements they succeed in creating some magic moments of magic spells and traditional songs that become like rituals. Most of them are sung or half spoken by a very nice typical female folk voice (in the British tradition). Guiding elements are earth bass drum, sometimes with some church bell touches, acoustic and electric guitars, more often with fuzz effects (with a rather psychedelic neo-folkrock effect), some melodic keyboards and occasional buzz drones. The instruments often repeat in simple 1 to 4 rhythms the folk melodies or rhythm involved turn it into a repetitive hypnotic spell, a ritual on a small place, while the rhythms often have something of a funeral march. Here and there a child voice or wizard confirms the aspect of a children’s play ritual or magic ritual context, these old traditionals get a different meaning.. I experienced many favourite moments, but perhaps “The Rolling Of The Stones” I take out as a great example of their typicality of interpretations."

We also want to thank both the Solaris and Darker Shade of Pagan radio shows who regularly play The Hare And The Moon's music. It is very much appreciated.
