Salutations fellow interfaith ministers!

The minister at Universal Life Pagans (www.myspace.com/universalpagans) recently messaged me with the following:

"I love the pic with the stone altar. I am asuming it is you standing behind it.
If so, I was wondering where you got the purple stole with all the religious symbols?"

Are you likewise interested in how to obtain interfaith minister supplies?  Let me tell you about an excellent company call "Interfaith Marketplace" -- these folks ROCK!  You can check them out for yourself at:
interfaithmarketplace.com

Yes, that is me, Rev. Rick "Merry Bear" Koehl, in the above pic, and "the purple stole with all the religious symbols" was purchased from the Ashland, Oregon-based company "Interfaith Marketplace" -- and it is an excellent business indeed.  As well as stoles, the company offers calendars, jewelry, books, music, banners, flags, educational material, and more.  The 2009 Multifaith Calendar available from Interfaith Marketplace, which Identifies and explains observances for 14 major world religions and 140 significant religious and cultural occasions, IS A MUST HAVE!

The 4" wide by 6' long stole in the pic above includes symbols representing the following faiths: Judiasm, Islam, Tao, Jain, Buddism, Baha'i, Christian, Sikh, African Goddess, Hindu, Native American and Wiccan.  I purchased the stole for $35, but since then I have received a number of welcomed items from Interfaith Marketplace for FREE.  A couple of items came as "thank you" gifts because I included a link to the company's site on our own, but other welcomed items the business sent me just because the folks at Interfaith Marketplace ROCK!

I have received without cost from the good folks of Interfaith Marketplace a calendar, a Golden Rule poster, a thank you card with a Rumi poem, a newsletter membership, personal e-mails, and a personal, hand-written letter.  The calendar includes a wealth of information, includes wonderous theme art, and is arranged and organized in an excellent fashion.  If you are an interfaith minister, then again I must say, the 2009 Multifaith Calendar ($13.95) IS A MUST HAVE!

Of the many items available at Interfaith Marketplace, there is the InterActive Faith Book: The Essential Interreligious Community-Building Handbook, Interfaith Prayer Book, sanctuary decor, and a fascinating, educational interfaith game called "Enlighten."  Many of the items now available at Interfaith Marketplace have only been added during the past year, so I'm sure even more items useful to interfaith ministers will be added over the coming years.  So visit their site, and if you can't find what you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask about it and do return to the company's site often.

And PLEASE let Interfaith Marketplace know you learned about them from New Hope Community!

As a side note, Jenny and I are ordained interfaith ministers of the Universal Life Church.  We are available in and around Elbert Co., GA to perform marriage, baptism, communion, and funeral services, for the dedication of infants, Golden Rule talks and sermons, the conducting of Bible and interfaith studies, and to provide spiritual and marriage counseling.  We also maintain the New Hope Community sanctuary in Elberton, GA so if you need a week to get away from it all and to refresh your mind and spirit, e-mail me at:

Interfaith House Church Network

Interfaith House Church Network is a MySpace Group site created by Universal Life Church ministers Rev. Rick Merry Bear Koehl and Rev. Jenny Koehl of the interfaith cyber-sangha called New Hope Community -- please visit  www.myspace.com/merrybear to learn more about NHC.

Reverends Rick Merry Bear and Jenny Koehl created this group site to assist fellow ULC ministers in starting, growing and maintaining interfaith house churches, and to provide these ministers with an internet-based location for the purpose of networking together.  These interfaith churches are united by, and emphasize, the universal religious principle commonly known as the Golden Rule.  The ULC's wording for this principle is, "To do that which is right," and it serves as the ULC's one and only doctrine.

This group site represents and serves as the "hub" of our network of interfaith house churches of the ULC denomination.  All properly ordained ULC ministers who are members of this site are considered members of our network.  Please visit ulchq.com/ordination.htm..ulchq.com/ordination.htm to learn the conditions for becoming a properly ordained ULC minister.
