Hi all...

We're onto the fourth show of 'Freshly Picked' this week - already! And so far a warming response to the show with more listeners interacting with us by the week.

Thanks also for all your friends requests... however I need a little more from you than that... I don't like to add friends who just sit on my page and do nowt.

I don't have the time personally to visit every myspace page I am asked to view to listen to your tracks, to then mail you to request a copy of your music as I am nearly 300 friends into this page and counting... and then you mail me back for the address because you don't take time to read my blogs...

Can you send me a friends request if you want to be added to my page and also am interested in what I am doing, find the addresses and then just send me your music without the messaging back and forth about what I think? I'll tell you what I think of it when I play it on air and comment on it!!!

I have so many bands in here that would make for some very interesting programmes however despite numerous requests am not getting any music sent, and if so has been burnt at the fastest rate and unplayable. These are tools I cannot use - it's like you turning up to a gig with shit equipment - doesn't make for a good gig does it?

I WILL listen to every mp3 and wav emailed to me and also every CD I receive. That is so much easier than trawling myspace looking for you! This is what Radio WM and Kerrang do - you have to mail them your stuff for them to even look at you - the same applies here!!!

So instead of asking me to visit your page and tell you what I think before you might send me some music, please just send me a CD & Biog Sheet with contact details...

If you can make the effort to send me your music without me prompting, then I will make the effort to listen to it, get it on-air if it's promising and get you interviewed and maybe recorded live exclusively for WCRfm - can't say fairer than that.

Like you I am a musician trying to entertain you, I can't get you played on-air and listened to by 10s of 1000s of people as well as your name known in the scene if you can't be bothered to send me your tuneage.

Radio play is a privilege, not a right - and I won't be able to do this show if you guys can't be arsed to get some music in the post...
