Well well, here we are again - let's hear it for Jack Wills Freshers Tour 2009 waaaa! We are very happy to be taking part in this exciting venture for the second time as it's sure to be bigger and better and all that. No Millsy this time though, we miss you Millsy...

I've got to be honest and say that at the start of the day, it wasn't looking good. I got woken by a morose text from Jay 'Doomsday' Marsh at six in the morning saying that he hadn't slept all night, feels really ill, can't swallow and may have to cancel the Nottingham show, along with Christmas. This immediately reminded me of a glorious article I had read on how Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age deals with illness AND unruly fans at the same time.

We hit the road and got to Nottingham eventually.

Bluu wasn't a classic gig venue but after several complaints from the neighbours during sound-check, we eventually got underway and all the bands managed to put on a great show. Particularly impressive were I Only Date Models. Nice hoods and nice broody sounds. Everyone had their party pants on and everyone was happy.  Good night all in all.

Off to Leeds now - we;ll be hitting Mr Ben's in Leeds tonight!
