Even though my guitars are gathering dust because i'm a better writer than i am a guitarist, there's never a day that goes by that i DON'T think of Jimi!

Whilst i think i've written the Electric Ladyland of literature, that's neither here nor there...what popped into my mind yesterday was--Would he have played with Funkadelic?

It's amazing that all the Elvis-heads gather at Graceland on Presley's anniversary and the Lennonites do the candle thang @ Strawberry Fields in Central Park, but there's NO rememberance for Jimi:(

There's a new Cafe Wha! and Electric Lady is STILL there...where are the devout fans???

In a short time we lost quite a few Janis,Jimi,Jim,Brian,and Syd Barret left in mind but not body.


It unfortunate because it seems that its needed to make the people stop and pay attention.

So much talent was around its like folks took it for granted.


One day you wake up and its another day the music died.

its almost like the universe is saying "hey I love you but not everything goes and you need to apreciate what you have and whats going on".


For myself I look back at my teachers who passed from this world to the next and try to learn what they taught and I can hear Jimi say " its not about being better or worse or what you can get out of it its about giving it your all and doing the work and the work is the reward.


Ill do that and let the universe do the rest, in the mean time ill remember thouse who came before so I wont be late meeting up with them in the next world.
