4th & Goal with the ball in Emmitt's hands. 3.0 seconds to go in the 4th quarter with ball in #23's hands. Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, and Bonds is up. [Insert hockey metaphor here]
In all of the above situations, the greats would've came through and delivered when it mattered. Last night, at HOT 97's SUMMER JAM in front of 52,000 people, Cam'ron fumbled the ball on the goal line. He missed the big shot. He flied out to right. [Insert hockey metaphor here]
When everybody thought, or pretty much knew, that he was going after the retired-but-still-KONY-due-to-circumstances Jay-Z on the grandest stage of them all, he didn't do it. After dropping the uneventful-but-eventful-due-to-circumstances seven-minute diss "You Gotta Love It," putting JJ Walker in the video for "Suck It Or Not/Wet Wipes," and dropping another diss last week over Young Joc's "It's Goin Down," he didn't do it. At the most opportune time to unleash "Takeover" & "Ether" wrapped in one to Hov, he didn't do it.
So, you're wondering what did he do? What the Dipset always does: struts out Jim Jones for a painfully long set, brings Juelz out to say "AY" a million times to underwhelm the crowd, and then invites half of Harlem on stage to close out the show. What a show, right?
BTW: NEVER GO TO KINGS DOMINION ALONE.
Not even if you have a season pass and you're eager to use it as much as possible. Not even if it's 11:00 in the morning, too bored to stay in the house, got a half tank of gas in the car, and you think it's OK because you have nothing else to do.
