Celebrating the diverse LGBT community in Peoria and Central Illinois, the first Peoria Pride event will be held at the Peoria Riverfront Landing from Noon - 6 pm. Individuals, couples, families, kids and people friendly pets are welcome.

Admission is $5 per person at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free when attending with their family. Food, refreshments and entertainment will be available all day.

The theme for Peoria Pride 2009 is A Bridge to Diversity.

The goal of this event is to not only build pride in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) community, but also to reach out to our friends, allies and the community at large.
