So I was shopping around for a university to expand my gaming obsession and make it into a career, and I came across the University of Advanced Technologies. It caught my eye, so I went to the main site.

Now, this place is extremely interesting (minus the fact that it's in Arizona and I fucking hate the desert... I need ocean, bish.), but I encountered one problem: the website is more confusing that a fucking rat's nest. There's no logic! They try to target the common gamer's mindset as far as communication goes, but crash and burn and faaaaaaaaail. We play video games, but it doesn't mean we don't understand how to navigate a basic set-up for a damn college site. I mean, jesus...

So I'd really like to know more about this UAT, but man, someone needs to fix that site...

In other news, I'm going to go to the moon tomorrow. I'll take pics.

I would believe that if they really know their programming as far as gaming is involved (enough so that they offer classes), you might think they could handle simple things like intuitive layout in web programming. My advice? Keep searching... although the Art Institute of Seattle is very reputable (and expensive). I myself, am currently setting sights there, if I can get some grants courtesy Uncle Sam as well as finding an occupation that offers tuition reimbursement. Some jobs may offer up to 90% or more reimbursement after graduation.

Well, that was the thought that crossed my mind, but I've heard some very good things about UAT, though yes, the website scares me, haha.

Oh no, don't go to AI. AI is essentially the ITT of the art universities. They're everywhere, and I've looked into a few of them. The way the schools are set up is awful and doesn't allow you to expand in any way. It's very generic and crappy. Most of the students who attend the Art Institutes are slacker wannabe-artists anyways. Of all the universities that I've found, Evergreen is by far one of the best. It's being studied by the Ivy League colleges for the way it 'grades', and is one of the most successful colleges in the state. They have a fantastic setup. They don't give you a specific set and order of classes, but rather, ask you what you want to take, and what kind of major you want, and base it all off of that. It's really neat.

Not to mention they aren't that expensive (8,400 per quarter). I'm going to end up going there, I've just been browsing for other places. Haven't found anything better, though.
