The time has come again, for another JBFA Myspace/Facebook/Youtube
contest.
Ever heard of “Jonas Secrets”? If not, check this out before
taking part in the contest… JONAS SECRETS .
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make
your very own Secret. Not in the way you're thinking, and yes, we do know what
you are thinking. But don't worry, we won't tell anyone. In this case we want
you to come up with your best JBFA secret.
Confused? That’s okay. We will explain (and give you an
example).
Take a story that you love, a character that you identify
with, and create a secret about that story or character.
Once you’ve developed your secret and have made it into a
graphic, like the example HERE; you’re ready to compete.
From there, send your Secret with the subject line “JBFA Secret” to us at jbfa.fb.ms@gmail.com. Make sure you
include your JBFA Username in your email so the winner may receive their prizes
at the end of the contest.
Now, like any serious contest, this one has rules.
1. No Bashing. That is, there is no need for mean or negative
comments towards authors or their work. Negative Nelly’s need not take part,
Positive Penny’s are more than welcome though.
2. Keep your secrets below something that would be considered
R-rated. We don’t care what you read,
late at night, when you’re home alone with candles lit and…well, you get the
picture. It doesn’t matter to us what the rating of the story you choose
happens to be, just make sure that the content of the secret itself is
appropriate.
3. You must use a story that is not your own. And just like we
knew what you were thinking before, we will know if you are trying to be a big
fat cheater.
4. You have the option of entering 1, 2, or 3 secrets. There
will be no penalty for submitting less than three, though the likelihood of
winning may drop, but if we receive more than three from any one person, they
will be disqualified entirely and publicly humiliated in a discussion on the
forum… or we might be joking about the second part. Or not, but do you really
want to be the first person to find out? I think not.
Your Secrets must:
1. Contain the name of the story being used and preferably the
name of the author as well.
2. They need to be less than 600 pixels x 600 pixels in size.
3. Images can be sent to us as attachments if they are in
either .png or .jpg form. Otherwise, we need you to upload them to a
photosharing site such as Photobucket, and send us the links within the email.
Judging Criteria:
1. Creativity- obviously we want you to be as creative as
possible using a variety of media. Hand drawn or colored, Paint, Photoshop… you
decide.
2. Does the image compliment the secret?
3. Use of color and materials.
4. All rules and guidelines are followed.
Now, since these are secrets and all, they will remain
anonymous. However, after the winner is chosen, he or she may choose to make
the winning entry public.
All entries must be received no later than Thursday April 30th.
At that time, a winner will be chosen, and all of the secrets will be compiled
into a video and placed on our youtube page for all JBFA members to enjoy.
Now, we know you all want to know what the winner receives.
Yes, that means we were in your heads again. So *drumroll* the winner will
receive:
1. One of their stories featured on the JBFA Myspace, Facebook,
and Youtube pages.
2. A personalized banner and icon so they can announce it to
the world.
3. And a gift certificate to jonasbrothersmerch.com.
