I shit you not. Crazy as it may seem. Last Sunday took us to the Pearl Jam warehouse for a practice with Stone Gossard and members of the Saturday Knights. The place was so clean you could eat off the floors. Gear sky high, guitar techs on hand, and a wonderful yellow dog to greet you. The Seattle Parks Department had the idea to throw a thank you show for their volunteers, and put the Maldives and the Saturday Knights on the bill. Enter Stone Gossard, who has this scheme to put some country lyrics on hip-hop tongues, set it to beat-boxes and drum machines, mix in some guitar and bass, and see what kind of magic happens. And some serious D&D shit went down. You may be thinking Gin & Juice. You may be thinking Snoop Dogg showing up at the CMA awards in a cowboy hat. But I'm here to tell you. I'm here to say. To put the seed in yr brain. Imagine this: Outkast shaking hands with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Run DMC playing a game of football with The Band. Willie & Waylon palling around with Eric B. and Rakim. Only in America folks. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
