I just came back from the A Different Drum electronic music festival in SLC and that was a hoot! I can't believe I was there and a part of it. Cool bands, but really cool audience - very appreciative. It was quite different from any other festival I've been a part of - it just played out differently, somehow. The other bands were so friendly too and I got to meet some great people and heard some really good music! Also, I finally got to meet Todd, whom I've just spoken with over the phone before. For 2 years we've been working together, but have never met :) He's believes in what he's doing and I thank him for that!
Salt lake City was a little odd, as everything shuts down early and they shut down the club we were at, at 1 am. As usual, the friend i dragged with me to the festival and I were walking around the city at night, trying to find something to do and a place to get some food. I really need to connect with more locals when I go places...
The mountains were beautiful and I got to do some shopping. Also, the new album was ready and Todd brought copies for me - It looks incredible - everybody did a great job and I think it sounds great too. All that work in New Mexico and some additional recording here in Toronto and poof!! it's done. Now the real work starts...
I want to thank these people for their work on "So Far":
Todd Durrant, Joey Belville, Brian Hazard, Loren Stevenson, Mike Costantino, Judy-Ann Cazemier, Brad Jonkman, Mike Petkau, Kurt Brandt, Steve Martens, Paul Yee, Heidi, Leanne, Jenny & my mom! Thank you for your help and for making this project happen!
