I wanted to tell you something about Bob.
Bob owns a bar on Main Street, in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.
The care, kindness, and compassion he has towards others absolutely amazes me. This man deserves a medal or an award of some sort. A Good Samaritan Award.
I am a taxicab driver. Numerous Numerous times, Bob has called me to drive one of his customers home, whom he believes may have drank too much? Numerous times Bob has personally handed me money to pay their cab fare home. Numerous times, Bob has asked me if I could call another taxicab driver to meet me at his bar, so that driver could drive the customer's car home. Bob pays the taxicab fare to both drivers, and also the taxicab fare for me to bring the other driver back to get his own taxicab. Bob is extremely appreciative and he tips very generously. He wants to make certain that his customers/friends always gets home safely.
Something about Bob causes me to want to go out of my way, to always make certain I can get a taxicab to him when he requests one. Even if I am home in bed, I will jump up and rush downtown to provide service to his customers.
I was inspired to write something about Bob, because yesterday evening at approximately 8:00PM, Bob called me and asked if I was out. I said no, I was at home, but I asked what it was he needed. The reason for his call, is he needed me to follow him, as he drove a friend/customer home in their car, so I could drive Bob back to his bar. I told him to give me the address and I would meet him there. I hurried and got dressed and I was on my way. As I was driving, I was thinking to myself how incredibly caring Bob is. I was also thinking, that even if Bob didn't pay me a dime, I would not mind at all, because he has always taken care of me so well in the past. As far as I am concerned, Bob has given me enough money to cover the next 20-30 taxicab fares that he may ever need. And even if he didn't, His Love and Care for others, is well deserving, for him to be blessed in return.
I am always telling folks how God blesses me with awesome fares, and awesome customers. I trust in God as my provider each and every day. God never fails me. He always meets my needs and keeps a roof over my head. I thank God for everything and I give God the Glory for ALL things in my life. Be it good or bad, I have Faith that God has my life in His Control.
Bob is a blessing to me, as I have no doubt whatsoever that he must surely be a blessing to anyone who ever comes in contact with him. I was absolutely shocked, when Bob handed me $100.00 after we returned back to his bar on Main Street. The taxicab fare itself, was no more than $25.00
Bob's kindness, love and generosity, blessed me. I'm certain it was also a blessing to the person whose car Bob personally drove home. I wonder sometimes, how many lives Bob may have saved, simply by not allowing a friend/customer to drive home drunk?
I have shared with you, only ONE particular instance of what I have personally witnessed of this man, but I can assure you, I could tell you many many more. And another thing that truly impresses me, is how HUMBLE this man is. I have never known a man, as humble as Bob is, when I see him work a good deed for another person. It amazes me.
I simply ask that you all Pray for Bob and ask the Lord to bless this man abundantly. Bob is one of these unknown heroes, whom you seldom hear about. He does not appear to me, as being a wealthy man. All I know for certain is that his generosity comes from a wealthy heart and I thank God for him.
Peace and Love to All,
Gary
