Hello all you Smooth Operators! Hopefully this message finds you in good health and happy spirits. I'm getting ready to catch the ATW to LAX express bright and early tomorrow. I'm attending the ASCAP 'I Create Music' Expo in Hollywood this week. It's an amazing 3-day event dedicated to songwriters, their inspirations, and their craft.  I attend a few conferences like this every year, and always leave feeling energized and inspired to make more music.
 
This year there will be discussions and performances from some pretty talented songwriters like Ann & Nancy Wilson, Chaka Khan, Wyclef Jean, Jeff Lynne, Natasha Bedingfield, Richard Marx, Johnny Mandel, and so many more.  I'm also excited about this event because I was chosen to play my song, "Melody", then discuss the vision and creation of it with the audience and other panelists.

In other news, the band has been in the studio recently recording parts to a new song, "Here Today, Here To Stay". I just posted an acoustic demo version on myspace, and the full band version will be up very soon.
