AMERICA'S ROCK FESTIVAL MAKES DEBUT NORTH OF THE BORDER
SATURDAY, JUNE 27th AT WINNIPEG'S CANAD INNS STADIUM
ROCK ON THE RANGE--America's premiere destination rock festival makes its Canadian debut on Saturday June 27th at Winnipeg's Canad Inns Stadium. The 2009 lineup for the nationally-renowned festival will be highlighted by performances from some of rock's biggest artists from around the world including Billy Talent, Rise Against, Rancid, Theory Of A Deadman and Shinedown. The festival is very excited to announce that along with recent additions Hollywood Undead and Pop Evil, legendary Canadian metal band Anvil has been added to the bill.
“’ANVIL---The Movie’ has quickly become the talk of the entire industry and when word came that they were available to play at Rock On The Range, we just had to find a spot for them! They are amazing people with a real rock ‘n roll story and deserve everything that is coming to them. We are delighted and honored to have Anvil on the festival...can't wait to see them in Winnipeg," says Gary Spivack, co-president of Right Arm Entertainment, who is presenting the festival along with True North Sports and Entertainment.
The one-day, two-stage music and lifestyle event features a potent lineup of more than a dozen bands. In addition to the music, ROTR Canada will be doing its part to go green. Festival-goers can deposit their old, unused and broken cell phones at special drop-off boxes inside the stadium in return for ROTR awards points redeemable for a variety of prizes.
The third American version of the festival will take place on May 16-17 in Columbus, Ohio. Last year's event drew more than 50,00 people.
