New CD/New Tour: Hey ya'll...soooo much is happening right now. This is one of those "Ya better watch what ya wish for" periods. The new "Tall Texas Tales" record is at the manufacturer, and I'll have copies in my hands in a couple weeks. This is the record I'll be promoting on the upcoming Europe tour. It will be available at the gigs, at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com and MyTexasMusic.com. The Europe release date is Oct 15th and the US release date is Valentines Day 2010. I will be promoting the CD with England/Scotland shows followed by a couple Copenhagen shows October 22nd thru December 10th. Check out my tour dates on my website for gigs near you: http://bobcheevers.com/dates.html . US shows promoting the CD are yet to be determined. I mean really...let's take this one step at a time :-) The art work for TTT matches the richness and artistic integrity of the Stephen Doster produced CD. We completed the record in 8 days plus two days of rehearsals. The ten songs were recorded in two days at Austin's Ear Studio live to analog tape using my A-list Austin-musician pals. We took a couple days to add backup vocals, keyboard parts and some fiddle/string parts, then spent 4 days mixing. The art work was supervised by my best friend in California, Steven Holsapple, aided by my last two year's touring mate, David MacNeill. Austin's Lori Scott took the wonderful photos which Mr. Holsapple then turned into a visual "brand" that will be reflected in my new web site design which will be up before the UK tour begins. On a non-musical note...Austin weather has been over 100 degrees for weeks now with no rain, so the autumn cool with be very welcome for all of us in Texas. I have spent the last 4 summers in Europe, and this summer's Austin weather reminds me of my years in northern California with lots of blast furnace heat but no humidity. I don't really mind it at all. I'm really looking forward to getting away from this computer and out on the road again, so keep a light in the window for me and lots of cold beer in the fridge...and I'll be seeing ya soon. My best to all my friends and fans around the world. Ciao - bob http://www.bobcheevers.com
