Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood (MBPP) joins over 100 organizations for a health care march and rally in Seattle. As the WA State leader of reproductive health care, Planned Parenthood knows first-hand the struggles women and families face when trying to access quality, affordable health care.
The theme for the march is “Mothers Leading the Way.” The event is open to all, but mothers are highlighted as the ones most often responsible for protecting their families’ health and well-being. The median expense paid by women under 45 years old using high deductible health plans is $1266-$800 more than it is for men. A year ago, 74.6 percent of health care workers in America identified as women. Regardless of anyone’s personal connection to motherhood, the concept of mothers protecting loved ones is well known.
FREE TRANSPORTATION!!
MBPP will be providing a FREE bus (leaving at 9:45 am) Between Bellingham and Seattle. Space is limited. Sign up by May 26 by calling 360-603-7705 or email advocate@mbpp.org.
