Every year when I go to piknic I wonder, how many people will there be this year? A few years ago when there used to be 2500 people, and the promoters used to tell me it's the biggest piknic this summer, I was like WOW! The year after, same sentence, but with a few hundred more people... Last year I remember, there were about 4000 people, still, biggest piknic of the summer, and I couldn't believe it! And this year, well... busted, once again! More than 5500 people!

I remember that every year my friends would be on the dancefloor and do funny dance moves and would make me laugh, but this year there was NO SPACE WHATSOEVER left on the dancefloor, so they all partied beside the DJ booth, which is fun for me as I have them closer to me, but seriously, they could not manage finding one free spot left to dance. I have personally never seen the dancefloor so packed, I was even wondering how the people in the middle could even move, or breathe! At one point a guy in the middle of the dancefloor raised his little dog to show him to me, and I got so scared for the dog, I really wondered how that little thing managed being all afternoon in the middle of thousands and thousands moving feet without freaking out. I wish I would have taken my camera along to take videos and pictures of the event, as it was unbelievable!! If anyone did, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send them along?? I really want to see them again and keep them as memories. I know I've said, every year, that it was the best piknic ever, but I have to use this same sentence again. Last sunday, it was my BEST PIKNIC EVER!!! I was buzzed, literally buzzed as if I had used.. and you all know I don't. And for a change, I only had 3 beers, didn't even open my champagne, as I had a headache the whole time during my dj set, so I was basically on advil.... And still I was completely buzzed, by the vibe coming from the crowd and by the music! I had so much fun, played a few older tracks that are classics for me and that I only allow myself to play in longer sets like when I play piknic for example, and did some intense, looooong mixes, crazy deep and mental mixes. Created some build ups that were stronger than orgasms (for me at least), and I literally spent 4 hours with goosebumps, and such a huge smile on my face that by the end of the night my face muscles were really hurting. I had a blast!! And I want to thank everyone who were there, and who made this event so special! It was incredible and I miss it already and I can't wait till next year! I've been so lucky with the weather, after the bad summer we've had, I really am happy that we had such a beautiful day, and I'm hoping it will be the same for next year!

Here is a quick video from the afternoon:

I flew in from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to see you at Piknic and it was totally worth the trip! I hope I'll be able to come out to this next year, and I hope you make your way back to New Orleans soon! Peace.
