It's been a while since we've reached out to the Dawg Pound and I wanted to let you all know what's going on with the Ramblin Dawgs.

SETBACKS

In April, Raul, our drummer, broke his hand and has since had surgery. As a result, All the bands' April and May shows as well as recording activities were cancelled. Raul's almost 100% and ready to start banging away again.

COMEBACKS

The band will be performing this June 6th (Saturday) in Wildwood, NJ for the Elks State Convention. One not need be an Elk to attend this free performance, so if you're looking to spend some time down the shore, June 6th is the weekend to go and Wildwood is the place to be.

WE would like to ask you all to join us in welcoming Charlie Saraceno as a Ramblin Dawg. Charlie has replaced our good friend Rick Frank on the Piano and Organ, and we are excited to have him as part of our family. We're also excited about playing June 17th at Kenny's Castaways on Bleeker Street in the Village, New York City. Kenny's has a rich musical history including hosting such musical acts as Bruce Springteen, The Pretenders, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, as well as many others. We'll send a reminder out before that one hour set prior to the gig, but wanted to give you a heads up. Many other gigs are scheduled for June and July and are posted on our website.  Many more are in the works for the fall tour!


CD News

The Ramblin Dawgs' EP/CD "Rockin Blues" containing their first original three songs was released in January, and as of March is available on CDBaby, Itunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, Napster. The Cd has received awesome reviews as well as receieved radio air play on over 100 FM radio stations, dozens of online radio programs and Sirius/XM Radio. The Cd charted as high as number 7 on the CMJ Charts in April. We thank you, members of the Dawg Pound, for making it a success.

The Band will be going back into the recording studio in July to record songs for our full legnth CD due out in September. [Many of the songs will be perfomed live for the first time at our gig in Wildwood and the rest of the performances in June and July. Don't miss your chance to hear them for the first time!] Songs from our first CD, "Rockin Blues" will be featured on the new CD as well, however, those songs will be re-recorded, remixed and remastered. "Rockin Blues" will not be available once the new Cd is out, making "Rockin Blues" a Ramblin dawgs collectors item, so get your copy now before it's too late!

Finally, the Ramblin Dawgs are proud to announce that our MySpace page at www.myspace.com/ramblindawgs has been a national success. Since it's birth in January, which coincided with our "Rockin Blues" CD release, We have had over 90,000 page views, 79,000 song views, and added over 21,000 fans to the Dawg Pound and over 3,000 comments on the MySpage page.
