Current mood:  hot

I'm kinda behind when it comes to movies that have come out in the last year or so, and I actually somehow havn't seen a fair few flicks in my life that by popular opinion, I should have. Example: I havn't seen any of the Godfather movies. I havn't seen Scarface or E.T., and I definitely havn't seen Titantic... but that was actually by my choice, I have to admit. ;]

So! I'm making myself a list of movies which I either havn't seen, or saw so long ago that I can't remember them, and from this list I'll try and go hire them all out to watch. I'll update this list as I add to it, and knock off the ones I eventually watch.

Holy fsck!  I adore your to watch list.  <3 The City of Lost Children <3 NO ONE I know has seen that :o

Anyway, you need to watch Boondock Saints, Princess Bride, Monty Python, The Departed, The Prestige, Borat, Rocky 6 (cause NO ONE messes with you after you've seen a Rocky.....cause you'll mess them up!  Or at least, you'll think you can ;), Return to Me (really romantic but awesome and true to life), The Notebook (maybe too romantic for you....guys tend to be afraid of feelings, lol), Lost (tv), and oooh, I can add SO much anime in there.

You know what.  I just realized HOW much of a geek I am.  :D

Yeah, it's the same for me, not many I know have seen COLC either.
As for your suggestions, seen Boondock, Princess Bride, and all Pythons, but missed the Departed. Planning to see Borat tonight or tomorrow actually, and I have actually never seen ANY Rocky movie. The rest I havn;t heard of, except Lost, which I love *almost* as much as I love Heroes.

I saw the trailer for it, it looks great. Anything associated with Guillermo Del Toro always ends up being a trip.

Hey sexeh,
Nice list, I wanna watch Chicken Little as well so when you see that, invite me over for a snuggle :P

I'm commenting cause I see Dune on your list... zOMG yes lol Except if you can get your hands on it here, watch the mini-series they made in the states. 3 parter of "Dune" and another 3 parts for "Children of Dune". To be honest, if I could have anything on DVD it'd be those two mini series. Fucking awesome.

And you HAVE to see the Godfather Trilogy. Well, at least the first 2. Haven't seen the last one. I hear I have to see it with an open mind because it's 'unjustly critisized' or something.

<3 so let me know about what movies you get your hands on ;)

Okay, let's see...
Which Crash? The multi tiers racial drama Crash, or the "we want to screw each other in car wrecks" Crash? Seen Eternal Sunshine, not the Joy Luck Club (do I really want to?), own mallrats, Heaven and Earth I don't think I've ever heard of - what's that about? Havn't seen Lilo n Stitch, Shawshank is so overrated, Happy Feet I havn't seen and I dont think I will til it's on DVD, seen the machinist - what the hell is a urmzz? ;)
Seen Howls, havn't seen Graveyward of the Fireflies! Not the anime or the live action, definitely will put that one down. And I own GITS1, saw #2, and own Ninja Scroll. :)

I want to see Scoop when it comes out... it looks cool...

I've seen the Cronenberg's "Crash" and "Naked Lunch"...  (I think the fact that I just mentioned the director makes me super nerdy BUT ANYWAY.... ) Don't bother if you want to see a movie that  goes any deeper than gruesome for the point of being weird.. Don't get me wrong, odd films are great... but yeah... video machines and vaginas... not my favourite mix ....

I recommend...Babel... because I loved his others (amores perros, 21 grams) and I'm lame and have no friends to go and see it with!

haha im such a film geek ive seen them all..
but hey if ur  into old movies (and if ur not yet you must watch some classic film noir's from the 40s-50s it will change your view on film entirely!!).. eg. the postman always rings twice (original version), bodyheat (original version), double indemnity (original verison... they tried to remake most of these and failed horribly to live up to the originals)... casablanca! also... rebel without a cause and high noon are rad old school flicks. mwa
xx
