Q: How many pictures will be on the CD?
A: The number of images will vary greatly, and will depend on how everyone’s feeling that day, especially any children involved. The number can range anywhere from 50-75 pictures on each CD from a 90 minute session. I don’t include duplicates, blinking pictures, etc.
Q: Can I customize a session/package?
A: Yes - All packages and fees can be adjusted to fit clients’ needs/wants and budget. Please call or e-mail Desiree’ at (972) 998-3133 or DoubleTakePhotoDFW@gmail.com to discuss or for any questions.
Q: When is payment due?
A: Session payment is due on or before the time of the session. If you’ve booked a package, the deposit is required at the time of the booking, then the remainder is due on or before the time of the actual session. I accept cash, check, money order, or Paypal. (*Please note: Paypal processing must be completed before the time of the actual session)
Q: How long does it take to get my pictures/CD(s)/Package?
A: I upload your own “Preview” Album onto the Double Take Photography Myspace site within 1-2 business days of your session for you to enjoy some of your images until your CD is finished. This album is NOT all of your images, just a preview of some of my favorites.
- It normally takes around 3 weeks FOR A REGULAR PHOTO SESSION, AND 4 WEEKS FOR WEDDINGS. I go through and edit every image and put your package and CD(s) together. I do send everything out First Class, so you usually have it the next business day after it’s been mailed out.
- If you are in need of images for any reason during the editing/album creation interval, I am happy to e-mail some of them to you.
Q: Do I have to order my prints through you?
A: No - We both sign a printing release form at the time of your session that will be scanned onto your CD. You will have the ability to take your CD anywhere, at any time, to have what you want printed on your own timeframe and budget without any copyright printing issues.
- Please let me know if you’d like me to make any recommendations on where to have your images printed and/or framed.
Q: Will all my pictures have the “Double Take Photography” logo on them?
A: No – I only put the logo/tag on the pictures that I upload to the site for copyright issues, and you will get both the tagged, as well as non-tagged versions of each image on your CD(s).
Q: What should I wear?
A: I firmly believe that your portraits should reflect the real you! Bring your favorite outfits, incorporate your favorite color(s), bring as many outfits as you’d like, and don’t forget to bring all your favorite accessories, jewelry, shoes, etc.! I love color, so don’t be afraid OF that either!
- The only thing I recommend that you DON’T wear is anything with writing on it, or any tops/shirts that are similar to your skin tone. You don’t want anything distracting from you, or washing you out. Families and couples should try to “coordinate”, but it is not necessary for everyone to perfectly match.
Q: What time in the day is best to have my photo session?
A: Mornings and Evenings are best, not only for cooler temperatures in ....Texas.... weather, but also for lighting purposes. Unless we’re in a mostly shaded area or doing an indoor session, the afternoon directly overhead lighting can be harsh and cast unwanted shadows.
Q: How do I choose the location(s) for my session?
A: If you don’t already have your location(s) in mind, we can discuss what type of “style” you’d like in your setting(s), and I will be able to provide you with several choices of locations either around the DFW metroplex, or specifically near you. (Ex: Traditional, Urban, Rustic, Architectural, Modern, ..Lake.., Garden, etc.) I want to make sure your pictures reflect what you like and your style!
Q: What are props?
A: For babies and children, I can bring props such as an angel wing/halo set, baskets, blankets, bowls, pillows, baby blocks, chair(s), hats, boots, fishing poles, tackle box, girls’ dress-up items, etc. For other sessions, such as family, this could mean bringing chair(s), antique furniture, etc. Please feel free to incorporate anything of your own that you’d like to be a part of your session also!
