Tonight we finish recording our debut 6-song EP with the very talented and gracious Ryan Maier, of the great local post-rock band Sink The Bismarck. Ryan will be mixing and we'll be sending him electronic tidbits here and there to blend in from our invisible/by-proxy member Chad, but other than that, we're practically done. Then there's finding affordable options for mastering and duplication. If you got suggestions, send 'em our way. Thx!

But here's the exciting part. Besides being able to download the release for a price of your choosing, we will be DIYing the packaging for this limited run of physical copies, complete with a collection of specially written literature composed by friends and family for our songs. So not only do you get an obsolete compact disc, but you also get an obsolete form of the written word! Hurray!

Also, you might be wondering, "hey you got 10 demos on this here MySpace, so why do we only get 6 after waiting so long?" Well we recorded drums for all 10 and then reality set in and we're simply not equipped to ready an hour-long album by the end of the year. But there's good news, of course: we'll already be at work on another 5-6 song EP by the time you hear the first one. So you can expect another release from us next year! Zippee!

Here are the songs (order subject to change) that you'll find on our yet-to-be-titled debut EP:

1. There's Still Time, Pea Pod
2. Cheerupyrgonnadie
3. A Hilltop Like A Fallen Parenthesis
4. It's Sunset At Midnight
5. Let's Meet Halfway (And Fall Apart)
6. Time ≠ Still

The SERFS used Copy Cats for Mastering and Dupilcation. Plus we did all our own artwork and they printed it for us for our liner notes. They will also set you up with a CD-Baby account. Check them out.
