The ZUDA competition is more or less over, and the competition was a fierce one. I ended up more or less at the bottom of the barrel (c'est la beans) but it was definitely a learning experience and I'm glad I did it.

The reviews for SCARECROW SPOOKSHOW were mixed; some loved it, others hated it (and some bloggers really, really, really hated it...but they're probably all jack-asses anyway) and I have to admit I got pretty discouraged after reading a number of the more critical essays.

...but for every hater there's probably a lover out there, and this one blogger really warmed my Grinch-sized heart. It was all worth it for just one review like this; my passion for comics was reinvigorated and now I feel like I might just survive in this business!

God, there's no better feeling than knowing you've connected with someone (other than that feeling you get when your comic makes you a ton of money...but honestly, how many of us are ever going to experience that?!)
