Current mood: crazy Category: Life
Right now I'm thinking about being "aware in the moment", and how easy it is to lose this state of mind and sink back into "automatic pilot" mode. Some things in life really enhance awareness: nature, art and music, humor, good conversation, yoga-QiGong-meditation, and inspiration in general. Stuff that puts me back into "automatic" mode: repetition, boredom, hurrying, and worry are the ones that come to mind first. To me, automatic pilot mode is not really being aware of being alive anymore, and especially, when the "chatter" inside the head does not match what is going on around me. What's really interesting is that even the most inspiring thing can potentially become automatic with too much repetition -- so, how we use our creativity to keep things fresh, which is a jammin thing in life, meditation, relationships, work....what do you think?
