How To Take Better Sports Photos

Saturday, August 1
10:00am - 1:00pm
Carmel, IN

Instructor Walt Kuhn

The ratio for great sports images is: 1 part camera equipment, 3 parts photographer knowledge / anticipation.

Instructor Walt Kuhn is a professional sports photographer with years of experience shooting for the Indy 500 and Brickyard races, as well as multiple basketball, football, baseball and soccer organizations.

Learn on-location in a workshop focused on how to improve your sports photos with equipment you already own. Topics include: lighting, shutter speeds, sport-specific anticipation and of course, hands-on practice!

It is currently baseball season, so this event will include hands-on experience shooting a baseball game to help you see things differently and learn from instant feedback from the instructor. The concepts learned can be applied to any sport.

dSLR Camera
Charged batteries
Love of sports (or love of your kids playing sports)

Optional equipment:
Longer lens (>150mm) - kit lenses will work
