I know it has been awhile since I last blogged which is lame I know.
We have been doing a lot of running around in the past couple of weeks. It has been a lot of fun!
Firstly, we had a great show with the OakRidgeBoys in Richmond VA. It was in the most amazing theatre which has been newly rennovated. The ceiling looks like the sky outside. Very cool.
The Oakridge boys have an awesome show, heaps of fun and their harmonies are crazy! Joe Bonsall is total rock star and a funny buggar aswell. Just ask him about his i-phone apps. The guys are so kind to us and make us - two lil knuckle heads from Australia - feel so welcome on their stage.
Then we went off to the beach which was soooooo beautiful. We got a convertible and drove up and down the strip like two wankers, sooo much fun. Good wine, sunshine and walks on the beach - just what the doctor ordered. Brilliant time!
Our friends, Tommy Emmanuel & Gina Mandello called us as Tommy was playing in the area so we went to see his show.
Can I just say that EVERYONE in the WHOLE WORLD NEEDS to see this show. It's so hard to explain how incredible Tommy is. I mean, he litterally is the seventh wonder of the world. There will never be another player like him - ever! He played by himself for about two hours and had great Aussie singer/songwriter Rick Price with him for the opening and the end, (who has such a beautiful voice and is no slouch on the guitar), and I was totally entertained the whole time. If you get the chance to see him, you, you, you just have to......s'all I'm saying.
So then, last tuesday night was a hoot with my good friend Natalie on my arm at the Nashville Lifestyles 25 most beautiful people party. She said that she must have been no 26, so I guess I was 27.......... All good, can't complain cos we were in the HOT list last issue. One must not be greedy :)
Lots of really beautiful people and good conversations, very fun time indeed.
