This is the really short condensed version of it all...
Singer/ multi-instrumentalist Sid Law grew up in a family of musicians and theatrical performers in Iowa City. He began playing violin and piano at the age of 7. He received his first guitar at 13, which he mastered quickly and formed his first rock group. By high school he was deemed a local prodigy for his guitar skills. In college, he found himself drawn to the classical masters and his vocal ability earned him scholarships to study voice and composition in New York and in Italy.
His musical passion eventually took him to Seattle where he found opportunities for a wide range of musical expression, from composing for theater to acting and singing with local opera companies. But eventually he found his musical vision leading him back to rock and roll. And he began his search for collaborators.
Answering an add in a local music paper was songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Brad Hooper a Houston Texas native. Brad began playing piano at age 6, but also switched primarily to guitar by high school where he immediately begin leading groups and perusing his rock and roll dreams.
Drawn to Seattle in the mid 90's by the clean water, grunge rock and a woman... He uprooted and headed north. Finding that there were already a million other new guitar players who had moved to Seattle for the gold rush, he switched to bass which he quickly excelled at and had his pick of projects, as a lead singer/bassist.
Sid and Brad immediately hit it off musically.
Their first self titled album earned them rave reviews and the title of “Best unheard band in Seattle” by the top Seattle music magazine, they signed a recording deal shortly there after . Their second album “Sweet to be Strange” (featured here) was produced by Jack Endino has also received local and national acclaim. Their songs have been featured on radio, TV and films. After the release of "Sweet to be Strange" the band toured for year and then later decided to explore their individual musical projects. (when their record label decided to take on the film world instead of music...)
But the story won't end there... As a group they feel they have much more to say.
Please stay tuned!
