Super Solar Records is proud to present the debut EP from the newest Super Solar Sounds family member, The Harbor Collective.

"The Monday EP" is finished being tracked. On a rainy March evening in
Sheboygan, WI Cahalen and Brianna sat down in the studio with a couple
of Belgian brews and a few instruments, and laid down a seven song EP
of six originals, and a traditional.

Brianna plays guitar, sings lead and harmonies, and Cahalen plays
mandolin, banjo, lap slide, and sings lead and harmonies. They split
the writing duties, each donating three songs to the record.

The EP encompasses a good sized span of the Americana music tradition. Till & Sow kicks of the record in a straight folky tone, with soft and subtle lyrics, instrumentation and harmonies. California delivers a galumphy, and hauntingly western feel, of desert, confused love and sun. Sweet Little Cob and Hop High both address the Old-Time tradition, with Cahalen on clawhammer banjo, and Brianna's lonesome harmonies. Jealous Sea follows in a traditional ballad waltz style, both musically and lyrically, while Birds and Dollar or a Dime follow the traditional, aching country mold.
