FALL BREAK!!! Time to decompress and rebuild:::
The ladies Leah and Chloe have taken a moment cool down and readjust after their last whirlwind tour-10,000 miles across the country. They are slowing down and hiding out to rekindle their spirits and continue building their musical mission this fall and winter. They are gathering the elements for the exciting recording of a brand new vocal album, and the launch of an enticing new web page. They are also writing out lessons plans for youth education and learning the ropes of roots musicology studies.
BUT they are still creating full force, and you can support their sound, mission, movement, and songs by staying involved and spread ing the word about them. We are an underground grassroots project and it is propelled solely by human power and creative love...

here are many ways that you can lend your spirit, energy and
voice… Below we have listed ways that you can get involved as well as the
upcoming tour (more coming soon) dates for our US Spring tour 2009. If you feel
drawn to any of these ideas and want to jump on board please contact us and we

-BLOG::: the music, the mysace page, the albums. We suck at computers (no doubt!) but those of you who reign kings and queens of the computer world can do miraculous things to spread this name around. Let us know if you do, or find anything interesting out there!
-DISTRUBUTION::: we hand select our distribution locations for albums. If there is a radical local homemade shop or community center in your town get us the address and contact for getting them some music. IF they will have us, we will send them cds and work out a price that work to everyone's benefit.
....- CONNECT US WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS::: We are
looking for point people in each city/town to help us research and contact
local non-profit organizations to build future projects and liasons for future tours. This can
be organizations working with women’s rights, alternative justice initiatives,
undoing racism, housing rights, human rights, alternative economies, anit-war
movements, education projects, ect. When we

-GET US INTO YOUR LOCAL SCHOOLS, PRISONS, COMMUNITY CENTERS,
ICECREAM PARLORS, BARBER SHOPS, LIVING ROOMS…etc WE are building in more education for our work. We can bring our
projects into local gyms or churches, boys and girls clubs, prisons, youth
detention centers or living room affairs... If you have any thoughts
or connections that might enable a working exchange like this we are arranging more flexibility in schedules to create room and travel plans around education. please be in touch and we can
build on this further or pass us any additional information.

-STREET TEAM::: Although we don’t have an official street
team set up we depend almost souly on guerrilla marketing and word of mouth
advertising. If you have amazing stenciling ability, graffiti expertise or a
flock of eager admirers that might follow your lead please spread the word on the RISE collective and Rising Appalachia. It is the small efforts by individuals that can really
carve out the intimate musical spaces that we are seeking. This is far more
valuable than reviews in newspapers, posters, or even underground radio slots (although if
you are a Dj, or the second cousin of a djs sister we LOVE radio slots!!!!). So, if you like what is building PLEASE spread the word!
