I think it says something about the bassist wearing dresses and the drummer relaxing with a golden shower...

PUNK FEST

One Friday in late July, more precisely, the 24.07.2009 in Berlin. The city in summer is always such a thing. Stuffy, too hot, but somehow also relaxed that it's summer, and you have to enjoy. Thus it was that we only shortly before 22.00 clock Wild at Heart in the scene, to take not only a good friend in receiving, but also to be greeted immediately by the driver of the band. With him, we had agreed upon the seats on the guest list. So we all went to checkout, I wrote my name on the guest list well-behaved, and hey presto the stamp was on my wrist. The bassist from MOUTH GUARD greeted me the same. He could still remember my face. Last year I was already there. After we had supplied us with liquid, it went back in front of the club to have us there to join in the evening. At 22.45 the first band started to clock this evening. It was the THE RUCKERS from Berlin. The guys play regular street punk / Oi the old school. The band also had properly brought fans, and it was well filled before the stage already. The band knew to please, even if this kind of street punk / Oi some bands play as well, including THE RUCKERS the better, and certainly are a concert worth it. So it was also surprised that while the band was Wild at Heart Gas, the seats were out nearly all free. Even the people of MOUTH GUARD looked at the tape. It seemed to please them. After about 40 minutes in Berlin were finished. The Australians made themselves ready to board the slow stage. MOUTH GUARD began as Wild at Heart, which was quite empty, but what had changed after the first three songs. The club was again well filled. I estimate that almost 150 people were present. It was more crowded than last year, when MOUTH GUARD had its premiere in the Wild at Heart. Compared with 2008 came the band's songs much faster and punch over. Played it in 2008 more a mix of hardcore punk and Oi, hardcore was the factor now significantly higher. Discipline or Toxpack similarities were unmistakable. The band placed over backward, and the audience applauded and thanked it to one or another little dance. MOUTH GUARD have been presented at the Wild at Heart as full and powerful Oi band with hardcore rough touch, and leave a good impression. I'm looking forward to the next gig of the Australians, whom all good things come in threes.
