Moochowski is a comedy saga set mostly in 1980s New York.
The series tracks the emotional implosion of a wealthy Upper East Side family - the Wexlers.
For lawyer brothers Earl and George, the trouble starts when their father Hermann dies.
As head of the family firm, he commanded respect throughout Manhattans high society. But just hours after his funeral, a scandalous discovery is made in Hermanns abandoned pool house - his secret lover; a man by the name of Felix Moochowski.
Moochowski is an eccentric drifter with a big appetite and distressingly loose grip on reality. Hyperactive and unpredictable yet strangely charming, for the last five years of Hermanns life he was the patricians greatest joy.
Now he needs a place to crash.
Elder brother Earl - a preening yuppie dictator - fears ruin and excommunication from the homophobic ranks of Manhattan high-society. He swiftly pressgangs meek younger brother George into a cocaine addled plan.
While Earls hapless PA Kevin digs up blackmail-dirt on Moochowski, George must keep the drifter from drifting into the public eye by inviting him into his family home.
Moochowskis presence disrupts every aspect of their cosy lives - exposing long hidden secrets and lies beneath the Wexler roof.
Taking in Manhattan health spas, Brooklyn pool halls, Californian llama farms, Mexican yogurt factories and a mysterious forest community of black-listed writers, Moochowski is character comedy painted on a broad canvas.
Think Bonfire of the Vanities meets Waynes World.
