Verviers is a small town in the French part of Belgium. In the heart of the commercial district stand on of Europe's coolest music clubs. Spirit of '66 (an obvious homage to a route 66 which no longer exists.) It is run by a bear of a man named Francis. He made his money in potatoes! Now he spends his life and energy on his passion which is to bring great Rock music to the people of his town. This is the kind of gig I love to play because it's about the music and the people. The sound is meticulous and the stage is so hot you can get heatstroke.
Last night it all came together for a truly great show. We opened with the power ballad Locked In A Memory and took off from there. 2 plus hours later they were still shouting for more.
The band was tight focused and I do believe we sounded good!
