We were featured in this months Play Music magazine. The words used in that feature have been copied below.....

Hot on the heels of the triumphant return of My Bloody Valentine, GIN PANIC are truly a mind-meltingly noisy band that it reminds how much great noisy rock implosions are happening all around us. GIN PANIC have been at this for a while now, since 2001 it seems, but their vital, hollering and bowel-shaking reverbarations still hit where it hurts, and the pain is good.

Their latest record, Punching Numbers Into A Machine, is the red mist of rage made flesh, a howl of richeous fury that penetrates like an Exocete while remaining shrouded in an enigmatic mirage-like haze. imagine Queens Of The Stone Age in Post-rock hell with Mono while Steve Albini looks on clutching his Slint LP. It's refosious, melodic and epic all at once.

This four-piece are people of few words, but then words aren't necessary whenever the music is this facinating. In fact, Pickup can possibly say that, right now, GIN PANIC are turning out to be one of the best rock propositions it's heard in a while. Being consumed by a maelstrom of jet turbine noise and maniacal melodic passages may not be your thing, but then you're probably dead inside. Just look at the various members' influences on their MySpace page - pretty much every one of our favourite bands are there. The slow burning, groove-gripping passion on display here is phenomenal, and needs to be heard and seen as soon as possible. Just don't leave it for another seven years.

....So there you are. Thanks to to everyone at the magazine :)

"needs to be heard and seen as soon as possible"? Well, aren't you going to have to come up to Liverpool then, so we can all hear and see you? =P
