Well I installed Linux a while back when I did not have this nifty USB mouse and so now I cannot use my mouse in Linux, being the novice Linux person that I am I dont know how to fix the problem.  So I download a Live CD, which is a Linux OS on the CD, you just stick the CD in the drive and reboot and presto you have linux, it does nothing to your HD and theres nothing in install.  When I rebooted my mouse worked.  So I decided that I should re-install Linux.  I now have more HD space since just a few days ago I reinstalled Windows 2000 because of its issues so I decided to give myself some more room on my partition(I pretty much split my HD into two pieces put Windows on one and Linux on the other).  Well in the process of not exaclty knowing what I am doing I wiped out the whole HD, no big deal it was just reinstalled a few days ago and I still had everything backed up.  I go back to re-installing windows and it booted, installed windows, but then it would not boot to my HD.  So i look for partition magic on the internet and realize its $60 so I download parted magic for free.  I boot up to that cd and mess around with my HD to try and fix it.  I was wanting to split my HD in half so I did.  And the Windows CD would not boot, but my Linux CD would.  I tried for a few more hours with it and nothing. I finally reverted back to the old school win98 boot cd and ran fdisk to delete all partitons and format.  After that I ran the win 2000 CD and it booted installed and it booted to the HD after reboot.  I just now have it up and running again, but I have not installed Linux yet, going to tonight or tomorrow.
