Al Jazeera English TV has posted a new documentary program featuring interviews with the members of Lebanese death metal band OATH TO VANQUISH. Posted as part of the channel's Playlist series, host Richard Gizbert explores “the story of metal in the Middle East”.

According to a press release, it is “a tale of the longevity and strength of a metal movement that has defied official bans, and survived authoritarian crackdowns and oppression, and is now bigger than ever.” The program features artists from across the Middle Eastern region including NERVECELL (UAE), BILOCATE (Jordan), BETZEFER (Israel), ORPHANED LAND (Israel), OATH TO VANQUISH (Lebanon) and TARANTIST (Iran) as well as acclaimed writer/historian Mark LeVine.
