Last night we were able to get through ground/foundation tracks for three songs for our upcoming CD release.  Playbacks went well - but one of the things that I tell all recording bands - distance yourself from the playbacks by aging them so you can listen with a critical ear. 

Mastering a CD REQUIRES hearing everything with fresh ears.  You will beat a project to death if you are "glorying" over performances because even your present BEST performance will be tepid at best after you are able to step back.

We use Roland V-Studios (an VS880EX and a VS840GX) to record our initial work on.  (See the Photo-Slideshow on the mainpage for a photograph our our main console area).
