Hello to everyone! This is Cass here at Sinister Sweets, and I thought it would be a good idea to let all of our fans know how we do things in our kitchen.
First of all, we have a very home-made aesthetic here at Sinister Sweets. We do not want our goodies to look like art, we want them to look good enough to eat; like a treat from Grandma. The flavor is the most important part of our treats, then the appearance. Have you seen a Bill S'morseley? Have you TASTED a Bill S'morseley?!?! Then you get the idea.
Second, we use high quality ingredients. We are very much against skimping quality to save a buck. It has no place in our kitchen! Oh yeah, and we only use butter. No margarine. No oil. No shortening. Just Butter.
Finally, we choose our packaging beause it reflects our values and personalities. The bakery boxes are made from the packaging companies scrap paper, so the boxes use up to 30% fewer virgin trees than comparable boxes. The paper is also unbleached, to reduce the impact on the environment. We personally like the kraft paper look. It allows us to use some creativity and provides a real home-made look. Also, the bags we use at conventions are from 100% recycled paper. And yes, we stamp each of them!
If you have any questions about orders, please send us an email. We will be posting a calendar for the year soon.
