Current mood:  optimistic
In gearing up for the release of From Beneath These Ashes, we will be highlighting songs from the album to give listeners a sense of the spirit behind it, through interviews with the bands, sharing comments about their involvement.

Amber from Gryffindor Commonroom Rejects, about their donated song "The Phat Lady":

AMBER: "The song itself started off as a joke made by Fred Merganthaler from Fred Lives. Shawn thought it was very clever calling the Fat Lady "Phat," so we decided to write a song about it. We chose this song for the album because it was light and funny. Also, we knew we'd be featured among the best of the Wrock Scene, so we wanted to put out a song that we liked. And we were proud of how "The Phat Lady" turned out.

I'm excited to be featured in the comp because of the company I'm sharing and the idea that we're all doing this together and for a cause. As far as the cause goes: it's something that is real. Children are the most vulnerable sort of human beings and need to be protected. I think it's our job. So, fan support is important. It's going to be an amazing album and it's for a great cause."

"The Phat Lady" by Gryffindor Commonroom Rejects is track #5 on Disc 1 of 2 on From Beneath These Ashes.
